The upper room

A beautiful bedroom in a very beautiful house in Broadstairs. This room has sun most of the day and a view of the sea in all its moods . The print is made up of four blocks . Two are cut normally and one is etched using caustic soda which is a bit unpredictable but results in a block that have a lot of personality. The first layer is a monoprint painted onto a lino block. Its 38cm x 56cm in size and printed on Arches hot pressed 160 gm paper.
